The text below refers to the second version of this costume (circa fall 2003) not the first version (made in 1998).

I've always loved Zoisite, ever since first watching the North American Sailor Moon and thinking finally a female character I can relate to! Alas, this is anime and I should have realised that a strong, opinionated, flat-chested woman wearing pants couldn't be anything but a man! After cosplaying him/her/whatever for a number of years, I finally found the Holy Grail of Zoisite cosplay... a set of generals. Hence I had to re-make my anime Zoisite costume for all our uniforms to match.

This time around, the colour was more of a grayish blue, as I tired of the purple, and since Negaverse uniforms are not colourfast (as seen by the episode-to-episode variations) there is an infinite range of shades to select from. I even found a perfect crystal to use as a prod, which I kept suspended in thin air with thin transparent elastic strung between my fingers. To make things better, I found perfect "rainbow crystals" which I had to stain with glass paint to the appropriate colours Zoisite gather before stealing Sailor Moon's yellow one (namely: green, red, blue and indigo) and even an "Imperial Silver Crystal" for more photographic fun.
